Has anyone had any success finding funding or grants for technology at the higher education or university level? Which ones? Did you take a grant writing course? I have found some from NASA and the National Science foundation but I know there must be more
There are many grants available through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) as well Samsung, and other corporations. If you were to possibly write a letter asing a local business for some resources to use in a classroom, they may very well help. I knew a professor who once said that he asked a local business for a new computer lab, and the business said "Sure, as long as my employees can use it for training one night a week." The professor agreed and established a great rapport with the community and maintains his fully-equipped computer lab for his students to this day.
Grants are out there, even in this economy. Just be creative in your proposals and good luck!
